well hello there!

life has brought me some lemons. i am still trying to make lemonade, people! illness has struck and knocked me for a loop. it’s been a while and as per my doctors i will be battling this for a while – maybe the rest of my life. it started out as a jawbone infection from a lovely dentist – thank g-d i am still alive. without going into great detail = i have constant, chronic pain = severely damaged facial nerves = i keep moving though and keep fighting.

i’ve received so many emails, pms, fb messages about what is going on and why i am not currently designing. believe me, i’d rather be designing than dealing with this crap! so that’s the deal. for now. i refuse to believe this will be something that i will have the rest of my life. doing what i can to make that happen. hugs, health, peace, Happy Chanukah, Merry Christmas to you and yours and a very happy and healthy New Year!

and yes, i removed the PixelQueens site so a lot of the images are gonzo from my blog. it’s all good though. see ya when i see ya.

Quite the setback

Life can change in an instant. It is so precious!

I feel it’s time for an update on what’s been going on with me and where have I been. Here goes ;) I’ve not been able to sit more than 5 minutes at a pop. I finally got in to see the doctor and had x-rays and am MRI done. I’ve got 2 herniated vertebras and an musculoskeletal/nervous system issue. Doctors feel that with rest and physical therapy I should be able to beat this. I begin intensive therapy on the 20th – I am looking forward to it! I want my body back!

With this, please know that I am unable to reply to emails or keep up with designing. Life has been very hard for me. I am fighting the stupid thoughts that go through ones head when pain is relentless. I want to thank Laura for all she is doing to keep PixelQueens going and to Lisa for all she is doing. It means the world to me! I also want to thank the Oh Girls that have been by my side – you all rock. As hard as this is for me to get through I will get there with time. When that time comes (oh I cannot wait!) I hope I am able to reply to every email, message, private message, facebook posts with a big thank you. I am completely overwhelmed with the good wishes and prayers being sent my way.

Thank you! I’m off to go and stare at the ceiling and pace the floors of my home. I don’t want this post to be a downer… I am OK and I will be fabulous again… in time :)
